No New Posts Police Headquarters

11826, West Washington Boulevard.
Where the police steam over nice, big cups of coffee, trying to catch all of the criminals.
They also have a creepy, angsty coroner in the Morgue, which is the basement of the Headquarters.

No New Posts Detective Agency

12823, West Washington Boulevard.
The detective agency, where all the detectives are. Come here if you want a crime solved for you, and you don't want to go to the police. Of course, the detectives here can be known to work with the police. But you won’t have to.

No New Posts City Hall

12825, West Washington Boulevard.
The City Hall is, of course, for the politicians and whatnot of Shawl. Inside are several courtrooms, in fact, where all of the courtly decisions are made.

No New Posts Charlie's

11825, West Washington Boulevard.
This is the resident bar for the lawkeepers of the city. Of course, other folk are welcome to come on in and enjoy a meal along with their drinks.

No New Posts Shawl General Hospital

21002, East Eleventh Street.
If you find yourself to be injured, then this is most likely the place you'll end up. The people are friendly and the beds comfier than most hospitals. The building is rather eerie, but on the inside it's bright and clean.

No New Posts Shawl Pharmacy

21003, East Eleventh Street.
Situated across the road from the hospital, this is the place where one picks up (hopefully) legalized drugs.

No New Posts El Plato de Plata

Undisputedly the best restaurant in town, El Plato de Plata serves authentic Argentine cuisine every day for lunch and dinner.

No New Posts Bombay Bistro

Bombay Bistro serves excellent South Indian cuisine for the dinner crowd.

No New Posts Eighth Avenue

There is a trend, and the trend is "shopping on Eighth." Big name brand or tiny designer boutique, if it's worth shopping at, it's here.

No New Posts The Sweet Lady

The 'Lady has more secondhand smoke than square feet of dance floor, but it's small and charming if not a musical mecca.

No New Posts M Towers

These two tall towers of condominiums and apartments have a surprisingly benign reputation for inner city housing. Maybe, it's because the rent is low enough for the local law enforcement to live in them.

No New Posts Bank of Shawl

Your friendly local bank. To date, there have only been three robberies, and none of them were successful. (Sometimes, it truly is better to keep your money in a coffee can buried in the backyard.)

No New Posts Cielo Vista Drive

Walking around after dark is highly discouraged in this decidedly shady street unless one is partial to small, shifty alleyways.

No New Posts York Terrace

York is the slightly trendier nouveau riche edge of Uptown, home to local entrepreneurs and lesser socialites alike.

No New Posts West Monroe Street

This street was named after a man who gave all of his riches away to the local hospital. Unfortunately, it was only named after the late Mr Monroe in order for the denizens of the street to save face. Very few generous souls live here.

No New Posts Woodwinds Country Club

Get your plaid skirts, striped shirts and argyle socks, darling, because it's time for a nice rousing round of... golf.

Woodwinds is also home to Rosalind's, the gourmet restaurant, and is essentially a glorified gentlemen's dinner club for the entire family, rather than a golf association.

No New Posts Windermere Lane

A short hedge-lined drive, Windermere is the heartland of the exclusive uptown neighborhoods.

No New Posts The Promenade

This cobblestone street houses almost painfully trendy shops with exorbitant prices and those long bare tables that say, "We're so overpriced that we don't even need to use all the display space," and, yes, they all have hardwood floors.

Live in fear.

No New Posts East Hickory Lane

Such a jolly street wouldn't seem to belong to the snooty, upper-crust uptown district, but the folks who live here are often those who've fought their way up the social ladder.

No New Posts The Warehouses

The warehouses were said to be abandoned, but they are out of use yet. They've attracted a colorful crowd of gangs and mobs who flourish in them.

No New Posts The Shipping Yards

Yet another hideaway, often, materials shipped in illegally, or smuggled in, are housed here in these yards. Sometimes, one can even expect to see the police; if another body has been found.

No New Posts The Raven

A night club thats always open but headquarters to one of the top gangs. When entering you are blasted with music and the smell of sweat and alcohol but if you continue back and go through several corridors you come upon a private room with a bar and seats, behind another door is a cozy room, the leaders' home.

No New Posts Sturgeon's Casino

This is the most respectable place on the entire street. Legitimate businessmen come here to gamble, and have fun. Of course, under Sturgeon’s Casino, the business is not entirely legal, at least not most of the time.

No New Posts Four Stars Hotel

Home to a rather shady clientele, this Hotel will take anybody into its homely walls. Whether they have bullets in their legs, briefcases of money, or goods that need to be fenced, the Four Stars will house them all.

No New Posts Sunset View

Although it may be in West Shawl, this street almost seems sunny at times. Unfortunately, there are several dealers on this street, but they keep out of the way of errant children.

No New Posts Veronica's

If you happen to be unlucky enough to be in Skyview, this is where you’ll stop by for some coffee, if you’re brave enough. The next nearest coffee house, though, is Kay’s Coffee, but that’s a twenty minute drive.

No New Posts Reed's Savings and Loan

A rather suspicious-looking loan shop: it does have good revenue. And although the wall colour may be a little bit faded in here, the people are generally friendly to customers who walk in. And they will indeed give out loans to anyone: as long as they can pay them back.

No New Posts Thrifty's Thrift Shop

Everything here is secondhand, but you can still find some spiffy clothes and accessories here.

No New Posts South Indiana Avenue

Whether the residents work against the law or are simply not wealthy enough to live more upscale, they happen to have found themselves lodging on this street. One or two or ten murders may or may not have happened here.

0 0 No posts have been made on this board.
No New Posts Boulevard Offices

A small, shabby building, it at least looks on the river, which isn't too polluted (mostly of the time).

No New Posts Ash Street

This street happens to be well off. The people on it often throw rowdy parties, but at least they invite everyone on the street to join in.
They abide by the law (mostly).

No New Posts Counsel Books

A tiny book store with a limited selection and a sign that reads ‘closed’ more often then not. All the shelves are packed to the point of breaking and the set up is hard to navigate- if you are actually looking for a book you’ll likely have to ask where it is. However, if you’re after information that could not be found in a book: ring the bell on the desk, wait one minute and twenty-eight seconds, and be prepared for a riddle. The owner will tell you whatever you need to know, as long as you’re willing to pay.

No New Posts Astor Plaza

The best movie theatre in town is right here. The popcorn isn’t too overpriced, nor is it disgusting. Astor’s is also the largest movie theatre, and can be expected to have nearly all of the movies out at the time shown here.

No New Posts Shawl Aquatic Center

This pool is indoors, and has not only the large pool, hot tub, and kiddie pool, but also has a gym, where people can come run on treadmills, attend yoga classes, or lift weights.

No New Posts Shawl Public Library

The perfect place to go and sit on a hot summer's day, or to cuddle up in during the cold, rainy season. But, beware: no loud noises, cellphones, pagers, or food allowed.

No New Posts Eastern Shawl Public Pool

An adorable little pool whose water is always the perfect temperature. Many new lifeguards work here, and it is a wonderful place for families to take their children. The hours are from 8-10, lap swimming; 10:30-12:30, swimming lessons; 1:00-4:00, public swim, and 5:00-8:00, public swim.

No New Posts Briar Street

Situated near the pool and a playground, this street is the ideal place to raise young children.

0 0 No posts have been made on this board.
No New Posts Garden Apartments

The entrance to this nondescript brick building lets out onto a frequently bustling main road. Ironically, none of the apartments have gardens, but behind the building, there's a playground in which, once in a blue moon, a kid actually plays.

No New Posts Jimmy Carter Playground

Right next to an elementary school, this is the biggest playground, and has swing sets, monkey bars, jungle gym, and even a water park for the summer when it is really hot. Sometimes, older kids come here at night, just like they come to the parks.

No New Posts McWilliams Park

A nice hangout for families in the day: picnics can be had here. But watch out, because at night, frightening people visit. Older teenagers that have, sometimes (heaven forbid!) cigarettes, and drugs. You might want to stay away from here after nine o’clock.

No New Posts Sunrise Court

Sunrise Court is situated so that it receives the sunlight almost all day long. From sunrise to sunset, this street is bathed in light.
