How does one describe a basement. The first thing that comes to mind is the lack of windows. This is very true for the case of this particular basement. It is nothing special, it is a basement--turned morgue/apartment. Stone walls have been either covered in art or painted. Floors are a nice hardwood. Actually, at first glance it looks nothing like a basement. Granted, basements [no matter where you are from] don't usually have dead bodies in freezers...hidden behind two, large sets of glass sliding doors [it is a sterile room.]
